The Second Amendment isn’t a partisan issue. However, how we view it sure looks partisan as hell. Sure, there are anomalies in both parties, but that’s largely the case on every issue. There’s rarely an issue where every Republican or every Democrat is 100 percent in lockstep, even if they might seem to vote that way.

But Virginia looks a little different these days. A lot of Virginians voted for Democrats for office because they ran on things like affordability, and looking at my grocery bill, I can understand why they would. Things are expensive; they haven’t gotten cheaper, really, and people are more than a little sick of it.

It’s just unfortunate that instead of addressing affordability, Democrats jumped on gun control, gerrymandering, and raising taxes.

These guys just took office this year, though, so one might think that most Democratic candidates would toe the line on these issues, at least to some degree. Instead, it seems one is bucking the entire agenda.

Ah, Virginia politics, where the Second Amendment is as bipartisan as a family feud, and Democrats, fresh from promising affordable groceries, somehow pivot faster than a reality TV contestant dodging roses—straight into gun control, gerrymandering, and tax hikes. Enter Mark Moran, the FBoy Island alum turned political disruptor, who’s boldly flipping the script by calling the entrenched “oligarch” a relic while refusing to play nice with the party’s new hit parade of grandstanding agendas. It’s classic D.C. theater: a Wall Street banker meets reality TV star, and the only thing more absurd than their resumes is the idea that voters might actually get what they voted for. But hey, at least the spectacle’s entertaining—grab your popcorn, and maybe a gun permit; you’ll want both.
