JUDGE BLOWS UP CITIZENSHIP PROOF LAW
A federal judge in New Hampshire has struck down the state’s 2024 proof-of-citizenship voting law, calling it unconstitutional and slamming a Republican-backed election rule that voting rights groups had warned would put up “needless barriers” to the ballot. U.S. District Judge Samantha Elliott’s ruling blocks the law from future elections, including the 2026 midterms, delivering a major setback to HB 1569 and a sharp rebuke to the state’s claim that election integrity could justify the burden on voters.

New Church Day refers to the Church of the New Jerusalem, founded in London in the late 18th century by the disciples of Emanuel Swedenborg.
