Kerry Sheron, the 69-year-old Army veteran behind Southern California’s heavily decorated “Trump house,” has died days after prosecutors say he was savagely attacked outside his Escondido home in an unprovoked beating allegedly carried out by 32-year-old Navy veteran Thomas Caleb Butler. Sheron, known for flying Trump banners and American flags, was hospitalized in critical condition after officials say Butler landed a single punch that sent him to the ground, followed by more blows to the head. Butler has pleaded not guilty to attempted murder, elder abuse, criminal threats and battery — and now faces upgraded charges as the case turns deadly.
