The UCSB rapist who sparked chaos with a desperate courtroom dash for freedom is now headed to prison for decades: Arian Eteghaei, 24, was sentenced Monday to 30 years to life after a jury convicted him of forcible rape, forcible sexual penetration and misdemeanor domestic violence involving multiple victims. The punishment lands after a lengthy trial and a failed bid to escape moments after the guilty verdict, when he bolted toward State Street, shouting profanities before deputies, a bailiff and bystanders wrestled him down.
