Sky News has revealed that during a phone call last weekend between US President Donald Trump and Bafel Talabani, leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Trump did not request Kurdish armed groups to launch a ground offensive into Iran nor is there any secret CIA operation arming them, dispelling rumors; instead, Trump expressed gratitude for the Kurds' long-standing support of American military efforts in northern Iraq and Syria, according to a high-ranking Iraqi Kurdistan official familiar with the call.
