President Donald Trump is looking to make good on his promise to end the fighting between Ukraine and Russia, which has cost countless lives to both nations and devestated Ukraine. The US has been funding and backing Ukraine and their President Volodymyr Zelensky with aid and weapons since Russia’s President Vladimir Putin authorized an invasion in February 2022.
