Trump administration slams the door tighter on foreign students, exchange visitors and journalists, capping visas at fixed terms instead of letting them run for the length of their programs or jobs. The new Homeland Security rule limits F and J visas to four years, slashes journalist visas to 240 days, and for Chinese nationals cuts that to just 90 days — a sharp reset with major consequences for campuses, exchange programs and foreign media in the U.S.
