Trump, after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting and a foiled third assassination attempt over the weekend, is again pounding the need for security as his ballroom project barrels ahead — and now Senate Republicans are moving to throw Washington’s money at it. Lindsey Graham, Katie Britt and Eric Schmitt plan to introduce legislation to unlock $400 million for the White House ballroom, a stunning escalation that would effectively put Congress on the hook for a project that has ballooned from an estimated $100 million and become a fresh flashpoint inside the GOP.
