TRUMP BACKS CLOCK SHOCK
Trump is backing a push to make daylight saving time permanent, as a House committee advanced the Sunshine Protection Act in a near-unanimous 48-1 vote. In a Truth Social post, the president blasted the twice-a-year clock change as a costly “ridiculous” production, saying it burns “hundreds of millions of dollars” and would be a “WIN” for Republicans. Rep. Vern Buchanan, who sponsored the bill, says Americans are fed up with the time switch and that permanent daylight saving time could improve public health, reduce crashes and crime, and boost outdoor activity.
