“Weapons and potential improvised explosive devices, IEDs, were located within the subject’s vehicle. Other IEDs were also located in the French Quarter,” Duncan said.
In the wake of the New Year’s attack on people in New Orleans’ French Quarter in the early hours of Wednesday morning, investigators have reportedly reviewed footage showing three men and a woman placing an IED in connection with the attack.
The revelation was part of a Louisiana State Police bulletin obtained by the Associated Press. FBI Spokesperson Aletha Duncan said in a Wednesday afternoon press conference that authorities do not believe Shamsud-Din Jabbar worked alone in the attack, which killed at least 10 people and injured dozens of others. The incident is being investigated as a terrorist attack.
