The United States and Israel continue their history-shaping shock and awe style military campaign against Iran, with Israeli forces also now intensifying strikes in Lebanon. Since Saturday, at least 1,230 people have been killed in what’s clearly morphed into a regime change operation on Tehran, according to official numbers, which are expected to climb by the day. The war is expanding to nearby countries like Azerbaijan, and possibly even Turkey – in addition to the Gulf states.

The United States and Israel have launched a high-intensity military campaign against Iran, which has escalated into a broader conflict involving Lebanon, Azerbaijan, and possibly Turkey, with over 1,230 casualties reported and numbers rising; despite growing Iranian retaliation and regional instability, the US Senate rejected efforts to limit President Trump's Operation Epic Fury, reflecting Washington's commitment to regime change. The initial hopes for a quick, low-cost victory are unraveling as six Americans have died, Gulf allies face attacks, economic disruptions grow with rising gas prices and market jitters, and investigations unfold into deadly strikes such as the bombing of a girls’ school in Iran. The Pentagon now anticipates a prolonged conflict well beyond the original four-week plan, requesting extended intelligence support, while internal missteps in the administration have hampered preparations, signaling a war that’s proving far more complex and costly than expected.
