Tainted Deli Meat Invades U.S. Stores
Nearly 150,000 pounds of mislabeled, ready-to-eat bologna are now under urgent recall after the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service uncovered a nationwide distribution of products with undeclared meats—posing a serious risk to consumers with dietary restrictions and allergies. Although no illnesses have been reported yet, the potential for severe allergic reactions—like anaphylaxis—remains dangerously high. This sweeping recall is just the latest reminder of the systemic carelessness threatening our food supply.
