CDC says lettuce from Mexico served at Taco Bell may be behind a nasty cyclospora outbreak that has sickened people in more than 30 states, with warnings now hitting stores in five states as investigators scramble to pin down whether other sources are also to blame. The agency says the parasite can cause violent watery diarrhea, and while it’s not usually life-threatening, the scope of the outbreak and the hunt for a still-unnamed supplier are raising the stakes fast.
