Keir Starmer is bracing for another political blast as hundreds more documents on fired former ambassador Peter Mandelson and his links to Jeffrey Epstein are set to land, threatening to reopen a scandal that has already scorched Downing Street. Mandelson lost his job after leaked emails exposed the extent of his friendship with the convicted sex offender, and earlier document releases showed vetting officials had warned against giving him top security clearance before the Foreign Office overruled them. Starmer says Mandelson lied to him about the Epstein ties and insists he wasn’t told about the security warning, but the fallout has already cost a top Foreign Office official his job and helped deepen doubts about the prime minister’s grip as Labour slips into more turmoil.
