AUSTIN (KXAN) — An autonomous vehicle company is investigating an incident after a witness reported that one of its self-driving vehicles struck and killed a duck near Mueller Lake Park earlier this week, raising concerns about the safety of nearby residents.
The incident was first shared in a post to a Mueller neighborhood Facebook group, where a witness said the Avride vehicle did not slow down as it drove through the park area, then struck and killed a duck that had been nesting nearby.
