Seattle reeled Sunday night after a deadly shooting at the Seattle Center turned what should have been a community celebration into a scene of horror, with officials praising first responders and urging the public to stay clear as the investigation deepened. U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal said she was “absolutely horrified,” City Attorney Erika Evans warned the area should still be avoided, and Gov. Bob Ferguson backed possible efforts to boost police forces in Washington cities while police continued hunting at least one more suspect.
