The Justice Department’s criminal probe into whether Joe Biden and his aides improperly used an autopen to issue pardons has been dropped by the DC US Attorney’s Office, as confirmed by sources and reported by The New York Times and CBS News. The investigation, initiated last year following former President Trump’s directive to examine allegations of an autopen conspiracy linked to Biden’s cognitive abilities, failed to find sufficient legal grounds to proceed and was quietly closed. Despite initial claims from Trump accusing Biden’s team of abusing presidential signature powers, federal prosecutors, including those in Jeanine Pirro’s office, ultimately found no basis for charges.
