Brits are letting crucial life admin pile up for more than three months on average, with booking MOTs, paying bills, filing tax returns and arranging doctor’s appointments among the most commonly shoved aside chores, according to research of 2,000 adults. The cost of delay is real: 30% said they’ve missed deadlines and triggered late fees or lost access to services, while 13% lost water or electricity and 9% were stopped from driving after letting essentials slide. The warning comes as BT pushes its digital landline switch, with 29% admitting they’ve ignored provider messages about vital services — a complacency that could leave customers cut off.
