Pearl Harbor teen returns home
After nearly 85 years in an “unknown” grave, Arkansas teen sailor Royle Luker is finally coming home. The 17-year-old Fireman 3rd Class, killed aboard USS West Virginia in the Pearl Harbor attack, will be buried with full military honors May 30 in Plainview, where he left to enlist in 1941. The Navy says forensic advances confirmed his identity last year, closing a painful wartime chapter that kept one young casualty of Pearl Harbor unidentified for generations.
