Sen. Rand Paul is turning Fauci’s private COVID diary into a political bombshell, blasting the former White House face of the pandemic as hiding one story from the public while writing another behind closed doors. In entries spanning December 2019 through December 2022, Fauci wrote as early as Jan. 26, 2020 that “the market was not the source, it was the amplifier,” with the notes suggesting the first infections hit in early December and were already spreading before China ever reported a new virus. The fallout is explosive: Paul says the papers expose what Fauci knew, when he knew it, and how badly the public was misled at the start of the crisis.
