Revolution Medicines jolted the cancer field Monday, saying its pancreatic cancer pill daraxonrasib crushed a highly watched Phase 3 trial, nearly doubling survival and cutting the risk of death by 60% versus chemo. Patients on the daily drug lived 13.2 months on average, versus 6.7 months for chemotherapy, in a disease that remains one of the deadliest and most stubborn in oncology. RevMed says the data met all primary and secondary endpoints and plans to race toward FDA approval, with CEO Mark Goldsmith calling the results “dramatic” and “practice-changing” — a potential break from the grim, chemo-only status quo.
