OpenAI’s courtroom war is now live in California, with Elon Musk and Sam Altman locked in a high-stakes fight over the company’s origins, purpose and future. Musk took the stand in a dark suit and tie, blasting what he called the “loot” of a charity and warning that if it’s allowed, “the entire foundation of charitable giving will be destroyed.” OpenAI is firing back, accusing Musk of trying to kneecap a rival after not getting his way, while the judge has already warned both men against using their platforms to sway the trial.
