NYC: Masked Men Steal 49 ATMs + Armed Homeless People in Subway
While mini-marts and ATM cash machines are targeted for robberies, police have been deployed in the underground subway system that is becoming increasingly more dangerous. Due to the decrease in police on the streets, there is more crime. Progressive, soft-on-crime laws that prevent prosecution of criminals are a major source of the problem. The city council and state legislators need to change the laws, but that will take a lot of time.
The second video shows homeless people living in the subway who are armed to protect themselves, although knives are not allowed inside the subway and its terminals. People with extreme mental health issues may be institutionalized for a maximum of 72 hours before being released back onto the streets and subway. There is no long term solution for treatment for mental health problems. Assault and robbery have been decriminalized and are categorized as misdemeanors. Progressive solutions of increasing police presence and the military doesn’t work because they are bound by bad progressive Democrat laws.
