Notorious Illegal Immigrant Rapist Rearrested, Deported 8 Times
A Mexican national accused of serial rape and tied to as many as 17 victims in Nevada has withdrawn a plea deal, forcing prosecutors to reinstate multiple charges. Carlos Nava, 49, is now facing trial in Las Vegas on accusations of violent sexual assaults spanning nearly two decades, despite being deported at least eight times since 2002. Prosecutors say Nava's DNA evidence and discovery of victims' underwear in his possession are damning, as he continues to maintain his innocence. With numerous charges reinstated, Nava remains in custody, awaiting a new trial date.
