Newark’s ICE fight blew up again Saturday — but this time the anti-ICE crowd ran into a heavier police presence and a fresh wave of counter-protesters, turning Delaney Hall into a shouting match split by barriers and New Jersey State Police. Supporters chanted “ICE ICE WE LOVE ICE!” while anti-ICE activists, including open communists calling for “communist revolution” and an end to capitalism, pushed their message even harder. Even radical influencer Hasan Piker showed up, then denied knowing anything about a reported Treasury subpoena, as the clash underscored how the ICE battle is becoming a broader political war.
