Charles “Sonny” Burton, 75, has spent over 30 years on death row for a murder he did not commit, caught up in the controversial felony murder rule that holds all participants in a felony equally liable for a killing during the crime, even if they didn't directly cause it; Burton was involved in an armed robbery in 1991 where a customer was killed, but he insists he never fired a shot and should not face execution for a crime he did not personally commit.
