Marvel is fleeing New York after nearly 90 years, pulling its publishing arm from Midtown and shipping it to Burbank in a blunt Hollywood power shift meant to revive a comic-book division eclipsed by the movies. The move comes with a shake-up at the top: veteran editor Stephen Wacker takes over as editor-in-chief, C.B. Cebulski exits the post but stays on to push manga in Japan, and Disney brass is betting the relocation will reconnect Marvel’s comics with the empire’s bigger creative machine.
