A federal judge has slammed the brakes on President Trump’s mail-ballot crackdown again, handing out a fresh injunction that blocks USPS from carrying out the order for the 2026 midterms even as the Supreme Court weighs whether to lift an earlier version. Judge Indira Talwani said the challenge is ripe now, not later, and warned the executive branch has no authority to regulate elections, setting up a direct clash over who controls how Americans vote.
