On Friday and Saturday, Sen. Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Republican, was seen at Disney World riding Space Mountain, eating at a character breakfast and walking around with a bubble wand.

During recess, Democratic California Congressman Robert Garcia was pictured in Las Vegas, Sen. Bernie Sanders was snapped on a first-class flight out of Washington, and Sen. Amy Klobuchar, a Minnesota Democrat, was seen at a robotics conference.

In a stunning display of modern governance, TSA agents got a glorified IOU instead of a full paycheck as Congress plays recess roulette, proving once again that crashing the homeland budget is easier than balancing one’s own checkbook. Meanwhile, the lawmakers who caused this circus were spotted globe-trotting and theme-park-hopping like it’s taxpayer-funded spring break, with Lindsey Graham channeling his inner kid at Disney World, Bernie Sanders enjoying first-class skies, and Amy Klobuchar mingling with robots—because if they can’t keep the government open, at least they can keep their travel schedules fully booked. Gallup says 80% disapprove of this act, but hey, with such consistent underperformance, maybe Congress should just hand out frequent flyer miles instead of paychecks.
