LABOUR’S ILLEGAL WORKER ARRESTS SURGE…
Illegal worker arrests have surged under Labour, with Home Office figures showing more than 17,000 arrests since July 2024 — up 122% on the previous two years — as enforcement visits also jumped 111% to nearly 25,000. The crackdown, including a week-long multi-agency blitz on organised immigration crime, has also driven a 50% rise in returns of those caught working illegally, while the Home Office says the first half of 2026 alone saw 4,756 arrests and record activity in Northern Ireland. Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood hailed the “highest level” of enforcement in British history, insisting illegal working undercuts honest workers and legal businesses.
