Iran’s new Supreme Leader is reportedly unconscious in one of Iran’s holiest cities, unable to run the country he inherited from his dead father.

Earlier today, explosions were reported on a bridge outside of Qom, where Mojtaba Khamenei is reportedly being treated for a ‘severe’ medical condition, according to American and Israeli intelligence.

A memo shared amongst Gulf allies revealed Khamenei’s location for the first time, The Times reported.

The memo mentioned that Khamenei was ‘unable to be involved in any decision-making by the regime’.

Iran’s new Supreme Leader is reportedly unconscious in Qom, one of the country’s holiest cities, which is a pretty rough look for the man supposedly running Iran after inheriting the job from his dead father. Earlier today, explosions were reported on a bridge outside the city, where Mojtaba Khamenei is said to be receiving treatment for a “severe” medical condition, according to American and Israeli intelligence. A memo circulated among Gulf allies and reported by The Times apparently pinpointed his location for the first time and noted the rather essential detail that he was “unable to be involved in any decision-making by the regime,” which is not exactly a banner week for the whole “Supreme Leader” brand.
