On May 5, 2025, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. joined host Laura Ingraham on The Ingraham Angle to discuss President Trump’s executive order banning U.S. funding for gain-of-function research—experiments that make pathogens more virulent, transmissible, and deadly—both domestically and abroad.

Nixon banned it in 1969, closing Fort Detrick and signing the Bioweapons Convention. That held until 2001, when anthrax attacks gave Fauci cover to restart a bioweapons arms race under the guise of vaccine development.”

Kennedy added, “In 2014, after three of Fauci’s pathogens escaped, 300 scientists urged Obama to shut him down. Obama issued a moratorium, but Fauci outsourced the work to Wuhan.
