U.S. forces hit Iran with a “heavy” wave of strikes after the IRGC’s failed attempt to target American troops, CENTCOM says, blasting dozens of military and maritime sites in a two-hour assault that marked a sharp escalation. The targets included command centers, missile and drone facilities, and coastal surveillance and defense positions, following Tuesday’s salvo of Iranian ballistic missiles that U.S. officials say were intercepted.
