NATO has shot down an Iranian missile heading towards a US air base as Iran continues to furiously attack the Middle East after Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in US-Israeli strikes.

The Iranian regime is targeting the US and its allies in the region and NATO air defences were forced to shoot down a ballistic missile heading toward Turkish airspace to Incirlik air base, which is believed to house US nuclear weapons, on Wednesday.

NATO intercepted and shot down an Iranian ballistic missile targeting the US air base at Incirlik in Turkey amid escalating Middle East tensions following the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US-Israeli strikes, with the missile traveling through Iraq and Syria before being destroyed over the eastern Mediterranean and debris falling in Turkey’s Hatay province; Turkey warned it would defend its territory fiercely, even as the Pentagon released footage showing an American submarine sinking an Iranian warship near Sri Lanka, signaling a sharp escalation in military confrontations between the US-led coalition and Iran.
