In yet another shocking display of radical sanctuary city politics, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass openly told federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to “go home,” as they conducted lawful deportation operations aimed at protecting American citizens. At a press conference defending LA’s extreme sanctuary policies, Bass outrageously claimed to be standing for “all Angelenos,” including those in the country illegally—individuals her administration openly shields from federal law enforcement. ICE swiftly responded, saying it refuses to back down and will continue the job Mayor Bass has “utterly failed to do”—keep the people of Los Angeles safe. Instead of confronting crises at home, the mayor has a record of fleeing responsibility, infamously jetting off to Ghana earlier this year for a presidential inauguration while wildfires raged through her city. With criminals hiding in plain sight and federal agents being told to leave, one thing is crystal clear: the safety of law-abiding Americans is not Mayor Bass’s priority.
