House Republicans have turned up the heat on ActBlue, firing off a new letter accusing the Democratic fundraising giant of withholding documents and obstructing their probe into foreign donations after a New York Times report exposed fresh details behind a 2025 internal blowup. The warning shot came from three heavyweight committee chairmen — Bryan Steil, Jim Jordan and James Comer — who said the report suggested ActBlue may have misled Congress in a 2023 explanation of how it vets donations from abroad, where nearly all foreign money is illegal in federal races. ActBlue did not immediately comment, even as it trumpeted a massive $568 million haul in the first quarter, while Trump and Republicans continue their aggressive campaign to hammer the party’s main money machine.
