A Mexican immigrant in Greensboro says a terrifying home invasion has left him living in fear, bolting his door each night with locks, bars, holy cards and a Christ figurine as protection after armed intruders kicked down his bedroom door shouting “ICE! ICE!” and turned out to be robbers, not agents. The unsolved assault, with no arrests made, has haunted him since Trump’s return to the White House and the launch of an aggressive deportation crackdown that has deepened panic in immigrant communities nationwide.
