HAITIANS GPS ANKLE MONITORS…. DEPORTATION
Hundreds of Haitian immigrants in the Springfield, Ohio, area are now reporting to ICE as the agency begins a hardline crackdown after Temporary Protected Status was revoked — with many leaving offices fitted with GPS ankle monitors, a stark sign the deportation machinery is turning on some 350,000 Haitians no longer authorized to remain in the U.S. DHS started issuing call-in letters in late July, and the clock ran out when TPS officially ended July 27 after the Supreme Court decision.
