Rep. Harriet Hageman blasted Jack Smith’s use of non-disclosure orders in congressional toll-record subpoenas, arguing the move shut lawmakers out of the chance to challenge the demands and, by Smith’s own admission, blocked would-be objections from being heard. Hageman called Smith “horrifically corrupt” and said the episode shows reforms are urgently needed to stop this kind of weaponization from happening again.
