GILGO BEACH MONSTER SET TO CONFESS TO 8 KILLINGS
(NewsNation) — Rex Heuermann is expected to plead guilty Wednesday to a string of killings on Long Island, and the charges are expected to include an additional victim, sources told NewsNation.
The additional victim would be the eighth in a series of deaths known as the Gilgo Beach killings.
Heuermann was set to go to trial in September, facing murder charges in the deaths of Melissa Barthelemy, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Amber Lynn Costello, Sandra Costilla, Valerie Mack, Jessica Taylor and Megan Waterman.

If accepted by a judge, the plea would effectively lock in life without parole for the man who was headed to trial in September on murder charges tied to Melissa Barthelemy, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Amber Lynn Costello, Sandra Costilla, Valerie Mack, Jessica Taylor and Megan Waterman. The additional alleged victim has not yet been named, but the case has already haunted Long Island for years, with the “Gilgo Four” found on Gilgo Beach in 2010 and more remains discovered there in 2011, while Costilla’s body was found elsewhere on Long Island.
