Gallup’s latest poll is another gut punch for higher education: just 38% of U.S. adults say they have a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in colleges and universities, with partisan bias and indoctrination now topping the list of complaints. A Gallup expert told Fox News the distrust is fueled by the “perception that there’s a political agenda being taught” and by the belief schools are failing to prepare students for real jobs. With only 37% saying they have even “some” confidence, the warning signs are flashing: public trust is collapsing, applicants are turning away, and colleges already under financial strain are facing a brutal reckoning.
