Clay Fuller’s special-election win in northwest Georgia is giving House Speaker Mike Johnson a little breathing room, which in today’s Congress counts as a full spa day. Fuller, who is set to be sworn in on Tuesday, told Fox News Digital that President Trump was “the key factor in us winning,” and the math mostly backs up the boast: Trump carried the district by 37 points in 2024, and Fuller beat Democrat Shawn Harris by 12. The seat had been vacant since Marjorie Taylor Greene quit Congress in January after her own bitter split with Trump, leaving the GOP nervously guarding its paper-thin four-seat House majority like it was the last oxygen tank on the ship.
