In a move that reeks of Orwellian censorship, France’s left-wing elites are now pushing to clamp down on media coverage of violent crimes—conveniently the ones committed by migrants—under the guise of fighting “right-wing exploitation.” An amendment tabled in the National Assembly by Green and far-left MPs explicitly targets the reporting of heinous crimes like the rape and murder of 13-year-old Lola and the brutal stabbing of 16-year-old Thomas, both at the hands of migrants, claiming such coverage sparks a “moral panic” and fuels “racialist semantics.” Translation: they don’t want the French people to know what’s really happening to their country. This is not about compassion or objectivity—it’s about silencing dissent and erasing the devastating consequences of failed immigration policies from the public record. Marine Le Pen warned of the totalitarian implications, and she’s right: when facts become forbidden and speech is shackled, the path to tyranny is well underway. This is nothing less than a dangerous attempt to whitewash reality and gut the public’s right to truth, all to protect the left’s collapsing narrative on multiculturalism.
