Five Now Confirmed Dead Due to The Raging Eaton Fire
PASADENA, Calif. (KTLA) – Five people have now been confirmed dead due to the raging Eaton Fire, which has scorched more than 10,000 acres in Pasadena and Altadena, east of Los Angeles.
The fire, which broke out around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near Altadena Drive and Midwick Drive, exploded overnight amid Santa Ana winds gusting up to 100 mph.
On Wednesday afternoon, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the death toll has risen, confirming three more people have died. Additionally, an undetermined amount of homes and businesses have been destroyed.
