FEDS HELD AT GUNPOINT IN FOREST HORROR
Northern California forest survey turns into a nightmare: two U.S. Forest Service employees were allegedly abducted at gunpoint, zip-tied and hauled to a trailer deep in Shasta-Trinity National Forest, sparking a 15-hour standoff with heavily armed suspects who claimed to have live rounds and grenades. Federal agents, drones and negotiators swarmed a narrow mountain road after one suspect texted that he had “two fed (employees) hostage,” and the drama ended only when the workers were released and the father-son pair—Joseph Charles Henrichsen, 49, and Phoenix Henrichsen, 23—walked out and surrendered. Both now face kidnapping charges carrying the possibility of life in prison.
