Officials with the Major County Sheriff’s Office reported that a woman was driving west of Fairview, near State Highway 60 and 243 and she lost contact with who she was speaking with over the phone in the area.

The two were reported missing earlier in the night, and just after 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Robinson confirmed the deaths.

A mother and daughter tragically died Thursday night when their vehicle was apparently struck by a tornado near Fairview, Oklahoma, according to Major County Sheriff Tony Robinson, who confirmed their deaths after the two went missing earlier in the evening while the woman was driving near State Highway 60 and 243.
