Fresh off praising JD Vance’s fraud-fighting, weighing in on Democrats’ midterm hopes, California elections and Jaxson Dart on Lara Trump’s show, he then swatted away questions about his own health and mental sharpness by branding his critics the “Dumocrats,” a term that really does the heavy lifting so the bureaucracy of irony doesn’t have to. With his 80th birthday looming, he’s set to join Joe Biden in the exclusive club of presidents old enough to remember when “cognitive test” was something doctors ordered, not a campaign accessory.
