DOJ ELECTION WATCHDOGS DESCEND ON ARIZONA
The Justice Department is putting staff on the ground at polling sites in three key Arizona counties as voters cast ballots in Tuesday’s primaries, with monitors deployed in Maricopa, Apache and Pima alongside the U.S. Attorney’s Office. DOJ says it’s routine oversight to ensure elections are “safe and secure,” but the move drops federal election watchers into a high-stakes contest where every ballot and every complaint could matter.
