Texas Democrat James Talarico, a Presbyterian seminarian now running for U.S. Senate, is facing new scrutiny after headlining a 2021 LGBTQ festival in Taylor, Texas, that organizers promoted with “the absolute cutest & youngest of our drag performers” — 11-year-old “drag queen” Kween Kee Kee. The Pride Month event featured speakers, music, a drag story hour and adult drag acts, while Talarico was photographed addressing the crowd and posing with attendees as the preteen performer, Keegan, took part in a “Youth Drag Show” at Texas Beer Company.
