Marco Rubio is sounding the alarm: communist Cuba, tiny and broke but aligned with America’s enemies, has spent decades burrowing into U.S. institutions and running what he calls an “espionage superpower” inside the country. In a blistering Fox News interview, Rubio cited the Manuel Rocha and Ana Belen Montes cases as proof of deep Cuban penetration, while a new State Department report accuses Havana of influence operations across universities, activist groups and protest movements. Rubio says the threat is not organic — it’s funded, organized, and aimed at U.S. power centers.
